The Child Friendly Guide for Businesses contains tips including having a welcoming, friendly attitude to all customers and their children, providing doors that open easily with one hand, provide a baby feeding or nappy change area, make available high chairs and booster seats and provide parking spaces for parents with young children.

The guide stresses the importance for business owners to have good access to their business including using a flat entrance or ramp if needed for mothers with a pram or stroller.

It also outlines information including Occupational Health & Safety Regulations for the safety of workers and visitors to a business premises including children.
