  • Majors Bay Road is home to the renowned Concord Golf Club.  With a history dating back to 1893, and the host of a number of Australian Open competitions creates a gateway to the strip;
  • Concord Memorial Hall was built during the depression, when unemployed local people undertook much of the labouring.  Formerly the Ex-servicemen's club it is now a chic function centre with community meeting rooms on the first floor; and 
  • The Concord Oval site was a penal colony for French-Canadian political prisoners in the 1840s.

Council's Commitment to Retail/Commercial Precincts

In 1999, Council undertook major streetscape improvements to Majors Bay Road, creating a very picturesque retail and dining centre.
