North Strathfield

The Bakehouse Quarter has emerged on the old Arnott’s site as a new and exciting destination in the City of Canada Bay.  The design of the Bakehouse Quarter celebrates its history with clever urban design that blends the traditional signs and warehouse buildings with ultra modern constructions.  The cobblestone road and Edwardian style-lighting echos back to the turn of the last century when the original Arnott factory was first built.  It incorporates public art and landscaping to create a distinctive and agreeable shopping precinct.

The arcade should be a real favourite for food lovers whether they like the café culture or to cook at home.  It also boasts a healthy body business centre with gym, pharmacy, ten pin bowling, indoor play centre, beauty and consulting businesses.

It is a new employment hub within the City with the Arnott’s and NRMA Head Offices and is set to continue to develop as more businesses take up the opportunities that the development offers.

Come by car, train, bus, bicycle or walk.

Did you know…

  • The Arnott's factory opened in 1906 and was nicknamed 'Arnott's folly', as people considered it too far from the CBD to attract workers; and
