Wareemba
Positioned between Five Dock and Abbotsford is fashionable Wareemba, meaning ‘where salt water meets fresh water’.
A short stroll from the ferry and the water’s edge lies the main street, with its offerings of alfresco dining, children’s and adult’s fashions, medical services, hair and beauty and more. Enjoy an Italian panini and coffee or an Australian big breakfast and then challenge those calories with a walk along the waterfront. Wareemba can be enjoyed at anytime of the day in any season. Visit once and you’ll find yourself a local.
Come by car, ferry, bus, bicycle or walk.

Wareemba Streetscape Program
The Wareemba Streetscape Program commenced in April 2008. The community played host to a range of streetscape professionals and trades as they transformed Great North Road, Wareemba by installing new safety, landscape and footpath improvements along the strip.
Throughout the upgrade, City of Canada Bay Council regularly provided updates on the progress of the streetscape program through the ezine publication, Wareemba My Village.
