About Five Dock

Within ten minutes of Sydney CBD lies the village of Five Dock.   In excess of five hundred businesses from cafés & restaurants, butchers, fruit markets, a large specialty supermarket, hairdressers, children's shops to solicitors, accountants, financial planners, and mechanics are based within the vicinity of Great North Road.

The Italian communities from all over greater Sydney shop regularly in Five Dock for the award-winning butchers, patisseries, chocolate makers and gelato makers for many decades.  This experience is now shared with the whole of Sydney.

Five Dock is one of the inner west's most child-friendly places to live. With  thirteen parks and reserves; nine childcare centres and preschools; one public school; one catholic primary school; one special needs school and two private secondary schools; a fabulous modern library; and, plenty of child specific retailers and service providers, who wouldn't want their children raised in Five Dock!

Ferragosto, the inner west's biggest street festival takes place along Great North Road, every August.

Come by car,  ferry, bus, bicycle or walk.
