Wellbank Children's Centre

Canada Bay Family Day Care (FDC)
Resources and supports family day care educators to operate self run child care businesses in a home environment throughout the Local Government Area (LGA) for children 6 weeks to 12 years. For more details visit Canada Bay FDC web page.
School Holiday Program
Provides a variety of leisure and recreation activities for children aged 5-14 years including workshops and clinics for a two week period during school holidays. For more details visit the Bayside Kids Holiday web page.
Children's Services E-Network
City of Canada Bay Council also facilitates the Canada Bay Children's Services E-Network which provides local services with an opportunity to network, share ideas, discuss current issues.
The E-Network provides a valuable tool to local services through information exchange, networking and support.

Parenting Programs
In partnership with Drummoyne Community Centre, Council provides a quarterly calendar of programs, workshops and seminars designed to increase understanding of parenting issues and an opportunity to discuss ideas and strategies. For more details visit Drummoyne Community Centre web page.
Transition to School
Starting school is an exciting but also potentially stressful time for both children and families.
The importance of a successful transition to Kindergarten and some of the issues regarding starting school are outlined in the School Readiness Booklet. The booklet covers concerns about preparing children for school and questions in relation to age, readiness, expectations about school and choosing a school. The City of Canada Bay Council is committed to creating a more child friendly environment for the benefit of families and children across the City. Council provides quality services as well as working in partnerships with other to achieve this.

The City of Canada Bay encourages business to consider how to make their businesses more child friendly and has published a Child Friendly Guide for Businesses. This guide contains practical information and advice to business owners on how to implement and manage a child friendly environment to ensure best service is delivered to their customers.
