The program

A reflective program is implemented on a daily basis within each of the three rooms and the outdoor areas.  The program strives to develop the whole child by focusing on the children’s strengths, reflecting their interests, enhancing play opportunities and challenging their growth and development.

A school readiness program is offered from the preschool room to assist the children for a smooth transition to school.  The program is always displayed in the playrooms for parent's information and feedback and the children’s portfolios are always available for your perusal.  We strongly support and encourage parent involvement and participation within the centre program.

Meals

A nutritious lunch is provided each day consisting of a main meal and fresh fruit or dessert.  Healthy morning and afternoon snacks are also served to meet the high-energy needs of the children.  The meals are developed in accordance with the National Nutritional Standards, providing a variety of breads and cereals, dairy products, protein, fats and oils, fresh fruit and vegetables.  Our cook, in consultation with staff and families, prepares the menu.  Specific dietary requirements can be catered for where reasonably known and notified.

Waiting list

In order to be offered a position at the centre, families must first complete and forward a wait list application to the centre.  The waitlist application can be obtained via our website or can be requested by calling 9911 6250.

Enrolled days

All children enrolled at the centre must be enrolled for a minimum of two days per week.  We strongly encourage that children are enrolled for consecutive days as this assists them to settle into the centre and become involved in the daily program.  Please note that working parents have priority over non working parents as set in the Priority of Access Guidelines.  Hence, non working parents may be required to change their enrolled days to cater for working parent's enrolment needs.
