Cabarita Heritage Garden: Volunteer Gardeners
Cabarita Heritage Garden is a volunteer driven project focused on renewing the heritage garden beds directly surrounding the iconic Federation Rotunda in Cabarita Park.
Currently in pilot stage, the volunteer gardeners are keen to build interest and volunteer input to ensure the sustainability of the project.

Public Health Panel Program
The Public Health Panel Program is a partnership between the City of Canada Bay and Concord Hospital. It's aim is to raise awareness of and provide quality information about key health issues as identified in Council's FuturesPlan20, Positive Ageing Strategy and Public Health Plan.
Four Public Health Panel events are held each year with respected speakers discussing various health issues. The Panels are held at Concord Hospital, they are open to everyone in the community and are free to attend.
Public Health Panel Events for 2012
- Tuesday, 28 February – Pain Management
- Thursday, 10 May – Adolescent Health
- September – Parkinsons
- November – Lung Health.
Please note that there will also be an additional Panel in 2012 for Mandarin speaking members of the community. The focus of this discussion will be around Hepatitis.

Men's Intergenerational Project
The Men's Intergenerational Project was initiated through a 'Family and Community Services' grant and was facilitated by the City of Canada Bay.
The project partners included:
- Concord High School
- St Vincent De Paul's Society, Mary McKillop Outreach - Ashfield Men's Shed
- The John Berne School
- The Catholic Intensive English Centre.
The project responds to an identified need to build connections between generations and the shared benefits for all men of all ages through being involved in this type of project. Carpentry skills based project held in a workshop environment, this project aims to support men at various life stages to learn from each other, share experiences, strengthen ties and foster respect.
