Volunteering

Volunteer in the City of Canada Bay

Volunteers play an important role in contributing to the City of Canada Bay community through their support of community groups, and participation in events, activities and programs that improve or assist the lives of others.

Volunteers make an amazing contribution to society. According to statistics in the ABS Voluntary Work, Australia Survey (2006) the total annual hours volunteered in Australia in 2006 was 713 million!

As part of Council's FuturesPlan20 - a vision for the next 20 years, Council is working towards developing an Engaged and Vibrant City. "Volunteer in the City of Canada Bay" provides an opportunity to provide and promote a wide range of community events and activities in which volunteers can be involved and supports effective communication and promotion of services in the area.
