Meals on Wheels

Meals on Wheels provides food services to meet the individual needs of older people and people with disabilities and their carers.

Drummoyne Meals on Wheels is a service coordinated by the City of Canada Bay with funding support from the NSW Department of Ageing, Disability and Home Care. You can receive Meals on Wheels on a permanent or short term basis.

Who is eligible:

To be eligible you must reside in Five Dock, Drummoyne, Rodd Point, Russell Lea, Wareemba, Chiswick, Abbotsford or Canada Bay.

How are meals delivered?

Meals are obtained from a professional local food supplier and delivered by committed and friendly volunteers to your home.  All volunteers are supported by staff and comply with the service 'Code of Behaviour'.

What Services are provided?

Your choice (including combinations) of meal style include:

  • Chilled meals;
  • Heated meals;
  • Frozen meals;
  • Culturally diverse meal options; and
  • Modified meals catering to specific individual requirements.

Meals are available up to seven (7) days per week.

Options included:

  • Main meal only (1 course);
  • Main meal with dessert or soup (2 course); or
  • 3 course.

We offer a four (4) week rotating menu with three (3) choices daily.  Meal prices start from $3.60.
