Learner Driver Workshops
Council runs free workshops for parents and other supervisors to help prepare those facilitating on-road driving sessions with learners. Learner drivers are now required to complete a minimum of 100 hours of supervised driving to be recorded in their RTA issued log book prior to presenting for their Provisional (P1) Licence.
The workshops offer practical advice to parents and supervisors on how to help learner drivers become safer drivers.
These two hour workshops provide information about:
- Understanding the new laws for L and P licence holders
- Completing the learner driver log book
- Understanding the benefits of supervised on-road driving experience
- Issues surrounding the supervision of learner drivers.
For information including when the next workshop will be held please call Council on 9911 6555 and ask for the Road Safety Officer.
Bookings for workshops are essential. To confirm your place please e-mail Council's Road Safety Officer.
