Delivery Plan at a glance
Council's 2009-13 Delivery Plan and Operational Plan have been generated from what you told us your priorities were when FuturesPlan20 was prepared last year. This Plan includes an innovative four year program that makes sure we are delivering an engaged, green, healthy, liveable, moving, prosperous and vibrant city. It's our first four year Delivery Plan under FuturesPlan20 and each strategy and action is designed to take us one step closer to your vision of the City you want to live in.
Highlights of the Delivery Plan and Operational Plan include:
- Engaged city: in the next year we're going to run an expanded program of major events in the community, including a new event on the Bay Run
- Green city: in the next year we're going to develop a Sustainability Action Plan with targets to measure our ongoing success
- Healthy city: in the next year we're going to upgrade public toilets at Rodd Park, Edwards Park, Russell Park, McIlwaine Park, Timbrell Park and Ron Routley Oval
- Liveable city: in the next year we're going to prepare, consult on and implement a new Local Environment Plan
- Moving city: in the next year we're going to investigate opportunities for new car share schemes based in new developments
- Prosperous city: in the next year we're going to undertake a series of neighbourhood centre projects to ensure local villages are thriving
- Vibrant city: in the next year we're going to deliver a series of art and culture exhibitions in our libraries in partnership with local community groups.
