FuturesPlan20

The draft FuturesPlan20 is now available for community comment and feedback.

FuturesPlan20 is a 20 year vision that has been developed to take local action to ensure our City and its people can respond in a positive and constructive way to the challenges ahead. Global changes have local impacts and we have a shared responsibility to work towards addressing this at the community level. FuturesPlan20 defines a sustainable direction for our City and sets out a strategic path on which we will seek to travel every year for the next 20 years.

FuturesPlan20 has been developed through consultation and discussion with community members, stakeholders and industry experts interested in having a say about the City's future.

The draft is available at the Council's Administration Centre and Concord and Five Dock Libraries. To view the summary draft plan or complete exhibition draft, please see documents below.

A summary version will also be delivered to every household in our City. The comprehensive plan is available by contacting Council's Customer Services Centre on 9911 6555 or emailing futuresplan20@canadabay.nsw.gov.au

Community comments and feedback are welcome with the exhibition period ending close of business Monday, 6 October 2008.

Following the completion of FuturesPlan20, four year delivery plans will be developed which set the shorter term actions which will contribute to achieving the outcomes set by FuturesPlan20. The ideas you have provided will also be considered in planning the delivery stages for the plan.
