Abandoned Vehicles and Trailers
There is an Abandoned Vehicle in my street, what can I do?
- The vehicle must be out of registration before the Law Enforcement Officers can act
- If the vehicle registration is still valid you will need to contact the local police on 9745 1333
- To report an abandoned vehicle that is out of registration you will need to contact Council's Customer Services Centre on 9911 6555 and supply the following information:
- Your name and address
- Description of the car (including the location, and number plate details if available)
These details will be recorded and the Law Enforcement Officer will investigate the matter and arrange for the vehicle to be removed.
There is an Abandoned Trailer on the street, what can I do?
- The use of trailers for the sole purpose of advertising requires Council development consent. Trailers left for extended periods of time in the same location can be classified as unattended and therefore impounded by Council.
- To report an abandoned trailer you will need to contact Council's Customer Services Centre on 9911 6555 and supply the following information:
- Your name and address
- Description of the trailer (including the location, and business advertised)
These details will be recorded and the Law Enforcement Officer will investigate the matter and arrange for the trailer to be removed.
Animals
- I have recently purchased a puppy/kitten, how do I go about registering it with Council?
- There is a dead animal on the footpath/road, how can I arrange to have it collected?
- My next door neighbour's dog is continuously barking, what can I do?

Council Meetings
How do I arrange to speak at a meeting?
Simply fill out the Request to Address Council Meeting application form and return it to City of Canada Bay Civic Centre, 1a Marlborough Street, Drummoyne by 4pm on the day of the meeting. You can do this up to 14 days in advance of the meeting.

How do I access information held by Council?
To access information held by Council you will need to lodge an Access to Information application form.
How do I acquire the Lot and DP number for a property?

Graffiti
Can Council remove graffiti?
- Yes, Council does remove graffiti from Council property (e.g. bus stops, park buildings etc) and private property as well
- Removal from private property is subsidised by Council

What halls are available for hire in the area?

How do I obtain a resident street parking/park permit?

Trees
Do I need permission to prune or remove trees?
- A Tree Preservation Order (TPO) applies to the whole of the City of Canada Bay Council area to ensure the long term survival of the landscape character of the area
- To prune or remove a trees under the TPO an application must be lodged.
Waste and recycling
- I have recently moved into the area and do not have a garbage bin. How do I obtain one?
