Public Notice - Notice of public hearings for reclassification of public land

The draft Canada Bay Local Environmental Plan (LEP) proposes reclassification of 105 parcels of Council owned land from ‘community’ to ‘operational’, and three parcels from ‘operational’ to ‘community’, and was placed on public exhibition from Monday, 14 November 2011 to Friday 24, February 2012.

In accordance with Section 68 of the Environmental Planning and Assessment Act 1979 and Section 29 of the Local Government Act 1993, public hearings for the proposed reclassifications are being held by an independent assessor on Monday, 7 May 2012 and Tuesday, 8 May 2012, from 6–8pm at Concord Library, 60 Flavelle Street Concord.

The independent chair will review and report on all written submissions made during the exhibition period of the draft LEP. Those wishing to make oral representations at the public hearing, should register by contacting Council’s Strategic Planning Team on 9911 6410.
