Planning for the Rhodes Community

Station Precinct (Precinct D) Consultation

Draft concept plans for potential development that are based on proposed new planning controls have been prepared for the Station Precinct (formally known as Precinct D) at Rhodes West. This new proposal features a revised Precinct Plan with important public benefits, compared to what might occur under existing planning controls.

By comparison, the original controls will deliver lower rise (8 storeys), residential buildings that fully occupy all available space, thereby removing opportunities for public walkways, recreational and social areas. The new concept plans follow the same principal as Stage One of the MasterPlan - higher buildings and more density, in return for greater public space at ground level for Council to utilise for the community.

Visit the Station Precinct website at www.yoursaycanadabay.com.au/rhodes to have your say by making a submission or participating in the online forum and to view the concept plan, images in the gallery and the graphic fly-through.

Council is holding a community consultation process to provide members of the community with further information about the Concept Proposal and to seek community feedback. To find out more about the Station Precinct and the related benefits and impacts, please come along to one of the following consultation sessions:
