Strathfield Triangle

Planning Controls

The Strathfield Triangle (bound by Leicester Ave, Cooper St and Parramatta Rd) is an area of land identified on the Canada Bay Local Environmental Plan 2008 Land Application Map as a 'Deferred Matter'. 
The following planning controls apply to land within the Strathfield Triangle Precinct.

• Strathfield Triangle DCP
• Concord Heritage LEP 103
• Concord Planning Scheme Ordinance.

Draft Plans for the Strathfield Triangle

A Planning Proposal for the Strathfield Triangle was submitted to the Department of Planning (DoP) in September 2010, where it was determined that it should proceed.  The Planning Proposal seeks to facilitate redevelopment of the Strathfield Triangle precinct, including but not limited to, allowing for additional dwellings, the deletion of heritage items, identification of land for public purposes, revised development controls and improvements to urban design and the public domain.

The amended draft plans were placed on public exhibition over October and November 2011.  An independent community consultation process was undertaken during this period.  A copy of that report can be downloaded below:
