| 28 July 2015

Drummoyne Oval has again been selected as a host ground for Cricket Australia’s Matador BBQs One-Day Cup tournament in October, says City of Canada Bay Mayor Angelo Tsirekas.

“We will host five matches again in the Matador BBQs One-Day Cup tournament, which sees state versus state in 50-over one-day matches,” he said.

“It’s another great testament to the quality of the facilities at Drummoyne Oval that it has again been selected as one of the venues in Sydney to host the tournament.”

The Matador BBQs One-Day Cup is a round robin tournament which sees 23 matches played in 21 days.  Each team play six matches and the highest place team qualifies for the final, while the second and third teams will play in an elimination final, which will be held at Drummoyne Oval on Friday, 23 October.

The schedule for Drummoyne Oval is as follows:

Queensland v NSW at 2pm (day/night match)

Tasmania v WA (time TBC)

Queensland v Cricket Australia XI at 10am

Cricket Australia XI v South Australia at 10am

Elimination final – 2nd v 3rd at 2pm (day/night match)
