Drummoyne Oval to host rugby championships

| 22 May 2015

Over the June long weekend, 6-8 June, 17 metropolitan and country districts will come together to Drummoyne Oval to compete for the State trophy.

“It’s great for the community and our home club, The Drummoyne District Junior Rugby Club, to host this championship on our soil, bringing families across the state to this excellent facility,” Mayor Tsirekas said.

"We are proud to have seven of our local players representing our district in the Dirty Reds team at this year’s NSW Junior Rugby Union (NSWJRU) Under 13 State Championships,” he said.

The community is encouraged to come along, cheer the boys on and enjoy some free top quality rugby.
