Nominations now open for 2012 Sustainability Awards
City of Canada Bay's Sustainability Awards are on again and nominations are now open!
The City of Canada Bay Sustainability Awards are presented to businesses, community groups and individuals who have achieved economic, social or environmental progress in the City.
Mayor Angelo Tsirekas said, " I am excited to announce that nominations for the fifth annual Sustainability Awards are now open.
"Over the past four years the Sustainability Awards have been a great success and it's wonderful that we can once again recognise the contributions that our residents, local business and community organisations have made in creating a more sustainable City."
Winners of the 2011 Sustainability Awards include Rhodes and Birkenhead Shopping Centres, Domremy College, All Hallows Parish School, Club Five Dock RSL, T.A.N.K Deli Cafe, Orthosports, The Cove at Drummoyne, Angelo's on the Bay, Destro's Pharmacy, Loders Lawyers, Lucas Garden's School, Solutions for Pain and Injury - Physiotherapy, 1st Concord Scout Group, Abbotsford Plumbing , Canada Bay SES, Drummoyne Toastmasters Club, Geoff Allars Solicitors, Interfar Furniture, The Embroiderers Guild NSW Inc., The Yaralla RSL Day Club, Trevor Lee & Son Pty Ltd, Briars at Greenlees Ltd, Wareemba Newsagent, Commonwealth Bank, Yaralla Bushcare Group, The Embroiderers Guild NSW Inc and Concord Hospital. Awards are open to businesses, community organisations and residents located in the City of Canada Bay.
To nominate yourself or someone else, complete an application form and tell us why your nominee should receive the award. Application forms are available online or contact Council on 9911 6555.
Applications close on Monday, 4 June. Winners will be announced at a prestigious awards night held on 6 August.
