Inner Sydney Councils Regional Food Group
The Inner Sydney Councils Regional Food Group (ISCRFG) is a collaboration of Inner Sydney Councils including Ashfield, Burwood, Canterbury, City of Canada Bay, City of Sydney, Leichhardt, Marrickville and Strathfield. The Councils within this group have committed to improving consistency throughout the region and aim to help food businesses in the area.
'Supporting local food business through food safety education'
The following is a summary of the aims of the ISCRFG:
- To establish regular communication with businesses on a regional level
- To facilitate regular communication between councils within the Inner Sydney region
- To Increase the effort at a regional level to improve consistency in relation to food safety issues.
The group was granted a $5000 grant under the Special Grants Program through the NSW Food Authority, Food Regulation Partnership which will enable Councils to develop consistent resources which will facilitate an improved level of consistency within the region.

Newsletter
The ISCRFG Newsletter aims to provide regular consistent communication between the Inner Sydney Councils and food shop proprietors within the region. The newsletter will discuss a variety of important issues such as inspection requirements, food handling and hygiene issues and any changes to legislation.
