Climate Change

In this section you will read about Climate Change and it's causes and there is information relating to Council's Challenges and Actions in relation to climate change in the Canada Bay area. 

You will also find information relating to the Cities for Climate Protection Programs which are voluntary campaign's designed specifically for local council's aimed at reducing Greenhouse Gas Emissions and see a number of programs and projects which have been introduced into the City.

Additionally, Council is a member of the International Council for Local Environmental Initiatives Adaptive and Resilient Communities (ARC) Program which will support Council to prepare a Climate Change Adaptation and Mitigation Plan. Council has also prepared Water and Energy Savings Action Plan's for the City which is available to be viewed and Council has undertaken a number of projects to address Water and Energy consumption which are detailed here.
