'Treading Lightly' - Eco living in the inner west

Treading Lightly is a program of free and informative events designed to promote healthy and sustainable living within our community and offer assistance in reducing our impact on the planet.

This program is being run in conjunction with Leichhardt, Ashfield and Burwood Councils and by sharing resources, the four Councils can provide you with a more comprehensive series of workshops and events.

Each program series is planned in six month rounds and events are held across all four Council areas. The full calendar is available on the right and workshops being hosted by the City of Canada Bay are listed below. RSVP details are outlined in the calendar.

  • Create - Recycled Art Workshop for Kids (Saturday, 18 February)
  • Sustainable DIY: Home and Garden (Saturday, 10 March)
  • Backyard Gardening (Saturday, 21 April)
  • Carbon Price, Greenhouse Gas Emissions: What Does This Mean? (Tuesday, 1 May)
  • Sustainable Food & Organic Market Tour (Saturday, 19 May)
  • Sourdough Bread making Workshop (Saturday, 9 June).
