Mangroves

Far more common and characteristic of the City of Canada Bay today are the mangroves that colonise the bays and some sections of shoreline.

 

The mangrove forests are largely dominated by the Grey Mangrove tree (Avicennia marina), and to a lesser extent, the River Mangrove tree (Aegiceras corniculatum).
