Workplace Food Hygiene Training for Food Business

The NSW State Government has indicated that tough new rules will be introduced in 2010 which will require Restaurants, Cafés and Takeaways to employ a specially trained food hygiene supervisor to oversee food hygiene, storage, preparation and handling.

Council is facilitating a one day accredited course for local businesses to meet this new requirement.  This is to be delivered by TAFE NSW at Concord Library.  It provides training for people who handle or prepare food in restaurants, hotels, clubs, commercial catering establishments, bars, takeaway shops, food factories, butcher shops and food stores.  It is designed to improve their understanding in hygienic food handling practices and to ensure that food is prepared in a safe, hygienic and high quality manner.

The fee for the course including lunch is $85 per person.
