FreeCity of Canada Bay Council and Concord Hospital invite the community to a free Public Health Forum on Arthritis and approaches to treatment.
There is no cure for most forms of arthritis. It's the major cause of disability and chronic pain affecting 3.85million Australians.
Arthritis affects the musculoskeletal system, specifically joints where two or more bones meet. The most common forms are osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis and gout which account for more than 95% of cases in Australia. Arthritis can cause joint weakness, instability and deformities that can interfere with the most basic daily tasks such as walking, driving a car and preparing food.
Our panel of experts will discuss the many different treatment options currently available and share practical tips on how to help manage the varying degrees of pain and discomfort.
