Welcome to City of Canada Bay Libraries!

Not a member yet? Join online to gain immediate access to our eLibrary. If you are under the age of 16, please complete the Under 16 Permission to Join form and get it signed by your parent or guardian. 

To get your library card and full membership, visit one of our locations in Concord, Five Dock or Rhodes. Bring identification showing your name and current address, and the Under 16 Permission to Join form if applicable.

Log in to renew your loans and reserve items.

Renewals

Renew your library items in person, by phone or online via canadabay.spydus.com or the City of Canada Bay Libraries' mobile app. You may renew items twice if no-one else has reserved them.

  • Complete Member login (Your 8-digit password is your date of birth ddmmyyyy)
  • Tick items you wish to renew and submit. 

To renew Interlibrary Loans, please contact Document Delivery Officer on 9911 6352 or email Interlibrary Loans. Items may be renewed with the permission of the lending library.

Reservations

You may reserve library items in person, by phone, or online via canadabay.spydus.com or the City of Canada Bay Libraries' mobile app.

  • Search and select the item
  • Click the Reserve Title link on the item information table
  • Complete member login (Your 8- digit password is your date of birth ddmmyyyy)
  • Select pick up location
  • Make reservation note to library staff, if required e.g. unable to collect week commencing 2 April.

Search Public Library Catalogues throughout Australia 

If an item cannot be found at the Canada Bay Libraries, you can request an Interlibrary Loan and we will try to borrow the item for you from another library at a cost of $5 plus any additional costs per item. It may take at least three weeks to make the item available to you pending availability.

You may suggest to purchase an item. There is no guarantee that the item will be purchased but you will be kept informed of the outcome.
