Who Do You Think You Are?
Come along to Concord Library and find out how to trace your own family history with local writer, Angelo Loukakis. Angelo will take you on a journey of tracing family history based on his book Who Do You Think You Are? and the SBS series that traces the family histories of six high-profile Australian celebrities.
Angelo will speak at Concord Library, 60 Flavelle Street on Friday, 20 June at 2pm.
Angelo Loukakis has worked as a teacher, scriptwriter, editor and publisher. He is a past chair of the NSW Writers' Centre and currently edits the journal Australian Author and teaches writing at the University of Technology, Sydney (UTS).
Who Do You Think You Are? is a great introduction for anyone who wants to start exploring their own ancestry. It includes details such as where to find census information to tracking down convict records or details of military service.
Angelo is also the author of fiction titles; For the Patriarch, Vernacular Dreams, Messenger and The Memory of Tides. His next novel Houdini's Flight, is to be published next year .
