Concord Library opening soon!

The City of Canada Bay Council's brand new Concord Library will open its doors on Monday, 12 May at 9.30am.  

Mayor Angelo Tsirekas said, "I am excited to announce the opening of this fantastic new resource. The new Concord Library has been a major project for Council and it's wonderful to see it come to fruition.  

"Many people have been involved in this project and I would like to thank them all for delivering this wonderful new facility."  

Be one of the first to see this great new library at the Open Day on Saturday, 10 May. Council is celebrating both the opening of the library and the Wellbank Children's Centre at Wellbank and Flavelle Streets, Concord. Come along from 11am to 3pm for a tour of the brand new facility. There will also be a great range of activities, stalls, music, food and fun for the whole family.  

The new Concord Library is spread over two floors and features comfortable reading and study areas, a new sound and vision section complete with listening posts, large function room, meeting room, children's area, youth area and information technology areas.

The new library is a 'one stop shop' with a café – a great spot to enjoy a coffee while catching up on some reading or with friends, and a Council Customer Services Centre operating from 9.30am-4pm Monday to Friday.

Saturday9.30am – 4pm
Sunday1pm – 5pm   

Please note - Services offered at Council's Customer Service Centre located at Canada Bay Civic Centre in Drummoyne will be offered at the centre operating from the new Concord Library with the exception of the lodgement of development and building applications.  All applications must be lodged with Customer Services at the Civic Centre in Drummoyne.
