Destination 2036 Draft Action Plan
We would like to invite you to provide your comments and thoughts on the Destination 2036 Draft Action Plan.
The Destination 2036 Draft Action Plan is a document prepared by the NSW Government with the help of the Local Government and Shires Associations, the Local Government Managers Australia (NSW) and the Australian Centre of Excellence for Local Government. Destination 2036 outlines a plan for how the local government sector can consider and respond to changes in population, technologies and economy and what these changes will mean, both for our communities and for the councils that serve them.
The Destination 2036 Steering Committee has called for comments on the draft plan, and the City of Canada Bay resolved to consider making a submission based on community and stakeholder feedback. Please help us by providing your views on the questions included in a brief survey you can find at: http://www.surveymonkey.com/s/draftDestination2036ActionPlan
The survey questions provide summarised extracts from the Draft Action Plan, and you can also access a full copy of the document at http://www.dlg.nsw.gov.au/dlg/dlghome/dlg_generalindex.asp?sectionid=1&mi=6&ml=21&AreaIndex=PRS.
Your comments can be as brief or as detailed as you like, and no personal identification is required.
Councillors will consider the draft submission in early February, so please provide your thoughts before Monday 30 January.
