Ron Routley Oval car park closure

Council is currently reconstructing the Ron Routley Oval car park (located behind Concord RSL) using materials taken from roads being replaced around the City.

The car park will be closed from Monday, 29 June for two weeks to allow for compaction and road sealing works to be complete.

The car park has been completely re-sheeted with 4000 tonnes of road material which would have otherwise been sent to landfill.

Re-using materials not only saves Council from having to purchase new material, it saves the cost of having to transport the material to landfill, the green house gas emissions this would have produced, and the cost to dispose the materials.
