To minimise traffic disruptions, RMS will carry out this work in three night shifts from 8pm to 5am between Sunday, 24 August and Sunday, 14 September, excluding Saturdays, weather permitting.
RMS has contracted Downer EDI to complete this work. It involves replacing the asphalt road surface and line marking, which will provide a stronger, more durable surface, resulting in improved road safety.
Minor delays are expected due to changed traffic conditions.
Partial lane closures will be in place while work is carried out to ensure safety of road users and workers.
Road users are asked to follow the direction of traffic controllers, adhere to reduced speed limits and follow traffic signs.
Up to date information, including any date changes and detours, will be displayed on electronic message signs along the road.
There will be noise associated with this work but every effort will be made to minimise the impact on residents and businesses.
