Essential night work on Parramatta Rd, Five Dock starts Tuesday, 25 August at York Ave - *these are not Council works
DOWNER Group, on behalf of Sydney Water, will carry out essential road maintenance on Parramatta Rd at York Ave in Five Dock.
Work is scheduled to be completed in approximately two night shifts between and , weather permitting.
This essential work involves road resurfacing, concrete slab replacement, replacement of asphalt, line marking to provide a stronger, more durable road surface, improving road safety.
Work will be done at night from 8pm to 5am Sunday to Friday to minimise traffic impact and there will be partial lane closures during these general working hours to create a safe working area.
Access to properties may be affected. Traffic controllers will provide access as required.
This work is noisy, however every effort will be made to minimise the impact of noise on residents and businesses, including efficient scheduling work at different locations each night.
During this work, motorists are asked to follow the signs, including reduced speed limits, and to follow the direction of traffic controllers.
Minor delays are expected due to changed traffic conditions.
Some bus stops in the work zone may be obstructed during the work. Traffic controllers will assist commuters boarding any buses during work times.
