Inner West Busway Along Victoria Road

Bridge Abutment Works in Drummoyne and Rozelle

• Replace the median between Park and Cary Streets (early November).  Most of this work will be done at night and will require lane closures.
• Construct the bridge approaches between Terry Street, Rozelle and Park Avenue, Drummoyne (mid to late November).  This will require closure of the clip-on lane over weekend periods during the day and night.

Bridgeworks In and Around Iron Cove

• Piling in Iron Cove for the bridge piers.
• Continue construction of piers 3 & 4.
• Continue construction of the abutment for the new bridge over Iron Cove at Henley Marine Drive.

Most of the work for the new bridge will be done during the day (unless there is a need to close lanes on Victoria Road).

During construction, an exclusion zone will be established around the work site and work barges in Iron Cove.  Exclusion zones will be up to 150 metres from the existing Iron Cove Bridge to the west and 50 metres to the east (this relates to the closed spans only).  Marker buoys, flashing lights and signage will be used to mark these areas.

Vessel operators are advised that waters around Iron Cove Bridge at Drummoyne will be partially closed to all vessels.  During construction some spans of the Iron Cove Bridge will be closed to navigation.  These will be marked by "channel blocked" day shapes and night lights.  Signage advising approaching vessels of the partial closure will be displayed upstream and downstream of the bridge.  At least two spans will remain open to vessel traffic at all times.
