Rhodes Peninsula is a dynamic urban centre with a distinctive form. The Rhodes Peninsula Plan of Management and Open Space Master Plan provides a vision for the design and management of public open space in response to the needs of a changing community at Rhodes Peninsula.

The Master Plan provides a flexible framework within which Council can respond to current requirements and opportunities, as well as to future community needs and expectations for open space and the public domain, and to inform a detailed design process to follow for each open space.

Parks and Place Names

Urban redevelopment on the western side of Rhodes Peninsula has resulted in the creation of a number of new parks and places that do not yet have official names.

The City of Canada Bay is responsible for determining names for these new parks and places and recently sought community involvement in the process. Council received a number of naming suggestions during the consultation period and considered these in the determination of new names.
