Mayoral Golf Day 2009

The fifth annual City of Canada Bay Mayoral Golf Day was held at Massey Park Golf Club on Friday, 13 November 2009.

Starting with a light breakfast, play began from 7.30am and continued into the early afternoon.  A barbeque lunch was served in the clubhouse, followed by the presentation of prizes, an auction and the raffle draw.

This year's Mayoral Golf Day raised funds for three of our local schools to support some of the innovative projects they are undertaking. The amount raised is currently being tallied and will be posted as soon as it is finalised.

The recipients of the funding raised by the event are Abbotsford Public School, for electrical equipment for their school hall, aiding their performing arts programs; Concord West Public School, for library resources to aide student development; and Five Dock Public School, for their school oval refurbishment, including maintenance training and sporting equipment.

We sincerely thank all sponsors, supporters and participants for helping us raise funds while making it such an enjoyable day.
