The City of Canada Bay's 12th annual Ferragosto was held on Sunday, 16 August on Great North Road, Five Dock.

Ferragosto, the City of Canada Bay’s largest and most popular community festival attracted over 50,000 people.

There was a great range of entertainment throughout the day including music and dancing, cooking demonstrations, fantastic food, free kid's activities, market stalls and lots more! New to Ferragosto this year for kids was Bocce and gnocchi making workshops.

Ferragosto'09 featured multiple stages with Italian inspired music and dancing as well as home grown talent, a children's entertainment and activity area with a brand new kid's entertainment stage, and the FerraKitchen cooking demonstration stage where local chefs and providores showcased Italian-inspired recipes and delicacies.

Over 100 market stalls lined Great North Road with a great range of food and products available. Back for a second year was FerraPiazza, the perfect place to relax and soak up the feeling of Italia with a glass of wine and wood fired pizza.
