Local author and English teacher Christine Knight makes inroads into the highly competitive overseas markets with her book In and Out of Step.
Set in the late 1980s in a NSW coastal town, In and Out of Step is a drama about contemporary life and love that is hard to put down. The story centres on the journey of Cassie Sleight who begins her teaching career in the seemingly idyllic Australian coastal town called Keimera. Her world is described in such rich detail you can almost smell the salt in the air.
In and Out of Step is one of those rare books that is entertaining for adults of all ages that will no doubt leave you yearning for the sequel, Lifesong, which will be released in 2012.
