Join our Local Studies Librarian on this walk to explore Canada Bay’s oldest subdivision. Named in honour of Governor Richard Bourke, Bourketown was to have featured Australia’s first public statue (sadly never completed). We will explore this historic area and its fine architecture, learning the history of the Drummoyne Reservoir and the reason for its lookout tower. We will also investigate the mysterious death of Sir Thomas Henley.
Bookings are essential. Please choose between the morning session at 10-12.30am or the afternoon session at 2-4.30pm.
