3D Modelling for Kids: Lunar New Year Magnets (Ages 8-12)

Create a custom Year of the Horse magnet!

Join us for a hands-on introduction to 3D modelling as we guide you and your child through creating a custom Year of the Horse magnet. This workshop provides a clear, beginner-friendly overview of Fusion 360 and the fundamentals of developing a printable 3D model.

Participants will learn how to:

• Navigate 3D modelling software

• Start and refine a sketch

• Extrude a sketch into a 3D form

• Edit and adjust a 3D model

No previous experience with 3D printing is required. However, participants are encouraged to bring their own laptops with Fusion 360 downloaded. Fusion 360 is free to download, so you can keep practising and creating at home after the session.

This event is for children aged 8–12 only. Participants who are not within this age range will not be permitted into the event.

An adult must accompany each child during this event. 

Photos and video may be taken during the event and shared across the library's and Council's communication channels (including but not limited to social media and eNewsletters). Please notify a staff member if you do not wish to be photographed or filmed.
