Seniors Festival 2026 runs from 2–19 March in the City of Canada Bay, offering a colourful program of free and low-cost activities across the area. This year’s theme – Live Life in Colour – celebrates wellbeing, creativity and staying connected as you age.
“We are proud to be hosting and supporting a vibrant program of events to celebrate Seniors Festival in March and I invite our residents to get involved. There will be opportunities to try a new hobby, socialise with other locals and learn something new,” said City of Canada Bay Mayor Michael Megna.
“The festival is an opportunity to recognise the valuable contributions older people make to our community; they are mentors, volunteers, carers, and friends — and their wisdom and experience enriches all our lives.”
Throughout the festival, senior residents can take part in a range of activities to help them stay active, connected and engaged – from yoga, croquet and art workshops to a fashion parade at the Canada Bay Heritage Museum, and afternoon tea with Australian entertainer Jim Haynes at Drummoyne Community Centre. There will also be free access to Council pools and exercise classes at Council’s recreation centres.
Council’s headline event, the Living Well Expo, will take place on 9 March and is proudly supported by Canada Bay Club. This fun and free community expo will include morning tea, information stalls and an expert panel discussion.
On the day, seniors will also be able to get advice from Youngster and Co at the Tech Hub, enjoy a relaxing hand massage and listen to music from the NSW Police Band Quartet.
