City of Canada Bay residents will have a new, easier way to pay their rates from the January 2026 rates notice.
The City of Canada Bay has launched a new partnership with Payble – a flexible digital payment platform that helps households spread bills into smaller, regular instalments.
Payble allows ratepayers to set up automatic payments from their bank account, credit or debit card, choose weekly, fortnightly or monthly instalments, and receive SMS reminders before payments are due.
Mayor Michael Megna said the new platform reflected Council’s commitment to improving customer experience.
“Payble is a modern, intuitive and secure way to manage your rates,” Mayor Megna said.
“It gives residents complete flexibility – whether that’s paying weekly, monthly or sticking with the traditional schedule.”
The City of Canada Bay joins over 50 Councils in Australia and New Zealand to launch a Payble rates payment platform.
The new service will not only give residents more control and convenience when managing their rates, it will also streamline Council’s internal processes.
“By reducing manual handling and simplifying payment arrangements, Payble is another in a series of customer service improvements launched in the past 18 months that will save our staff’s time - freeing them up to better support our community.”
Residents can get started by scanning the QR code on their January rates notice or visiting pay.canadabay.nsw.gov.au.
