The City of Canada Bay has launched The Canvas, a brand-new multipurpose venue at Rhodes Recreation Centre, with a limited-time 20% discount on venue hire fees.
The offer is valid for new bookings made by 31 May, for events held until 30 June 2026.
Mayor Michael Megna said The Canvas adds to Canada Bay’s growing network of community-focused spaces for hire.
“The Canvas gives our community another flexible, modern place to host an event — whether it be for a celebration, a workshop, a meeting, or something else,” he said.
“Rhodes Recreation Centre was designed as a hub for connection, and The Canvas builds on that vision. As one of 14 venues for hire across the City of Canada Bay, it offers a space that can adapt to the needs of our growing community.”
Located on the ground floor of the $80 million Rhodes Recreation Centre, The Canvas is a private room situated within a spacious Community Lounge, adjacent to an onsite café. The venue is equipped with high-quality amenities, including an integrated audio-visual system with live streaming capability and air-conditioning for year-round comfort. Rhodes Recreation Centre offers convenient underground parking and accessible entry via lift. Visitors using public transport will find the site is well-serviced by buses and Rhodes Train Station is a five-minute walk away.
To redeem the offer of a 20% discount on venue hire fees, hirers must quote the promotional code “RRC20” at the time of booking. Availability is limited, and early bookings are encouraged. Terms and conditions apply.
