Centenary of Anzac - the Poppy Project

The Poppy Project is one of the key initiatives developed by City of Canada Bay to commemorate the . 

“Everyone in attendance will be given a poppy to plant in the field of remembrance in Brays Bay Reserve after the service, or keep as a Centenary of Anzac memento,” Mayor Angelo Tsirekas said. 

The poppy is the symbol of remembrance across the world and is the official flower of remembrance for the First World War. 

The dawn service, to be held on Sunday, 19 April at 5.30am at the , is just one of the ways the Anzac Centenary is being recognised by the City of Canada Bay.
