Get wild at Concord Carnival

This year’s theme - Paws 'n’ Claws, Tails 'n’ Scales - is all about animals, ranging from much-loved household pets to exotic animals such as pythons, lizards and even a baby croc!

In the  don’t miss sheep dog trials, sheep shearing and whip cracking demonstrations. 

While in the  watch a dog obedience demonstration, the Dogs NSW performance team, a Siberian Husky sled dog demonstration and cheerleading demonstration from Sydney Altitude Cheerleading.

In the  Josie, a personal fitness trainer for cats and dogs will be holding training sessions all day. For a gold coin donation (with all proceeds going to the charity Assistance Dogs Australia) the whole family (including your four-legged friend) can join a fitness class on obedience, agility, tricks, dancing and games.

The Tails and Scales Reptiles Enclosure will host  at 12pm and 2pm, with a chance to get up close with pythons, lizards, turtles, a baby croc, a native bird and sugar gliders.

Concord Carnival will also showcase a range of amazing talent over two great stages. On the  we welcome local acts Belinda’s Art of Dance, ED5 International, Inspire! Bellydance, Nassibian Dancers, My Guitar School and more.

The  stage will feature Lolo Lovina, a Gypsy world music fusion band as well as New Orleans style band ‘The Moods’ and blues/roots band ‘The Lost Planet Hotrods’. 

Returning to Concord Carnival this year is  and we are thrilled to have celebrity chef Ed Halmagyi, also known as ‘Fast Ed’ join us for the day. As part of Council’s WasteLess in the Bay program, Fast Ed will show us how to cook a meal with minimal or no wastage. The Kitchen will also feature local chefs and kids cooking demonstrations. 

With even more entertainment for the kids including pony rides, animal farm, roving entertainers, free amusement rides and craft activities as well as a range of merchandise and food stalls there truly is something for everyone at Concord Carnival. 

Plus, don’t miss the  competition on the day! Registrations will open from 2.30pm with the main event happening at 3pm in the LJ Hooker Concord Arena. It’s free to enter and there’s a chance to win great prizes.
