The City of Canada Bay’s innovative approach to consultation is set to continue with the introduction of a second community project providing residents with a way to be more involved than ever before in Council decision-making.
Council is working with the newDemocracy Foundation on a ground-breaking consultation project to consider the best way to manage and subsidise Council buildings and facilities.
This Policy Panel will be modelled on our original Citizen’s Panel and will involve a jury of 24 randomly selected community members playing an important role in recommending a rental subsidy policy that delivers certainty, fairness, value, transparency and is trusted among the wider community.
Four thousand invitations to randomly selected addresses in the City have been sent out, so keep an eye out in your letterbox for a chance to take part in this project.
