After the storm hit on Friday afternoon, Council were on the ground until 1:00am, working hard cleaning up and removing dangerous trees from roads and footpaths.

The majority of the clean-up jobs were tree-related, including some roof damage. The worst hit area was a swathe from Lysaght Park through Russell Lea down to Henley Marine Drive.

Canada Bay SES received over 130 jobs on Friday and had completed approximately 60 jobs by the early hours of Saturday morning. Teams from Auburn, Parramatta, The Hills and Canada Bay were involved. Most of the jobs were around the Russell Lea/Wareemba/Abbotsford area.

Council has received over 80 jobs since Friday and will continue to work throughout the week to assist with the clean-up.
