Council is excited to launch the Growing Our Green Spaces program — an initiative that empowers our community to increase greenery and biodiversity in their own backyards, balconies, and courtyards.
To kick off the program, we’re holding a free plant giveaway on Sunday, 28 September, from 9:30am till 11:30am at Peter Woods Place (corner of Jellicoe Street and Majors Bay Road, Concord).
Local residents are invited to come along and collect three free native plants to help green their space — whether it’s a garden, a balcony, or a small courtyard. There’s something for everyone!
This is just the beginning of a broader campaign that includes hands-on workshops, planting tips, and community activities to support residents and landholders in creating cooler, greener and more vibrant spaces.
Come early — plants are available until stocks run out!
Residents are entitled to 3 free plants.
No bookings required.
