In a healthy city, residents enjoy good health, can access a range of high quality community and health services, and enjoy their City because it is safe, accessible and well connected to Council. We encourage residents to consider the services offered by personal trainers.
Council's Delivery and Operational Plan 2009-2013, includes a vision for a healthy city where people thrive through healthy activity, leisure pursuits and connection to a healthy physical environment.
Council introduced an annual registration fee in 2009/10 for personal trainers using open space areas in the City. The objective of the registration fee is for Council to be able to maintain an up to date registry of trainers using its facilities and to ensure they have appropriate insurance, professional qualifications and affiliations.
The registration also enables Council to promote the activities of trainers within the City on its website in accordance with its management plan and well being strategies.
