Calling all Minecraft fans aged 10-16 years! Team up and join City of Canada Bay Libraries online each Monday over the January school holidays. We have three separate creative Minecraft Challenges that will put your skills and imagination to the test.
$20 per ticket. One ticket admits two people to join together as a team.
These workshops will take place via Zoom, within a secure Minecraft server. It is suitable for children aged 10-16 years old, and some experience with Minecraft (Java Edition) is required.
Topics and dates:
Storytelling Challenge: 2–4pm Monday, 10 January 2022
Recreate your favourite movie in this special Storytelling Challenge. Participants will team up and build an iconic movie scene set, before acting out their favourite scene and using custom skins to become the characters!
Theme Park Challenge: 2–4pm Monday, 17 January 2022
Ever wanted to create your own theme park? In this challenge, each team will create their own amusement park ride within our Minecraft map.
Interior Design Challenge: 2–4pm Monday, 24 January 2022
Showcase your design skills in Minecraft in our Dream Home Challenge. Working in teams, participants will create a simple house exterior before working together to create fabulous furniture, colour schemes, lighting and more.
We design the learning and social experience of our workshops very carefully — it is important for the enjoyment and safety of all participants that your child is within the age range for this program.
$20 per ticket. One ticket is for two people to join together as a team.
These sessions will be run online via Zoom. A Zoom link will be provided upon ticket purchase.
